Long Beach Press-Telegram, NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC TO BE PLACED ON MAILING LIST FOR PSD PROJECTS The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is the air pollution control agency with jurisdiction over Orange County and portions of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Anyone wishing to install or modify equipment that could control or be a source of air pollution within this region must first file an application to obtain a permit from the SCAQMD. For projects that are subject to SCAQMD Regulation XVII - Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), the public may request to be put on the mailing list for additional notices on permitting activities in accordance with SCAQMD Rule 212(g) and 40 CFR Part 124, Section 124.10. The SCAQMD is currently in the process of reviewing permit applications for a project that is subject to the PSD regulation.
