Long Beach Press-Telegram, CITY OF ARTESIA August 31, 2015 NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 14, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 18747 Clarkdale Avenue, Artesia, California, the City Council of the City of Artesia will hold a public hearing in accordance with Government Code Section 50022.3 to consider: Adoption of Ordinance No. 15-824, An Ordinance of the City of Artesia Adopting by Reference Chapter 68 of Title 26 of the Los Angeles County Code to Provide for Expedited Permit Processing for Small Residential Rooftop Solar Energy Systems; Amending the Artesia Municipal Code; and Making a Determination of Exemption under CEQA The adoption of this proposed Ordinance would provide for expedited permit processing for small residential rooftop solar energy systems that meet specified requirements, are installed on one- or two-family dwellings, and involve either a photovoltaic system that is no larger than 10 kilowatts alternating current or a solar thermal system for residential service water heating and solar pool heating that is no larger than 30 kilowatts thermal. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the public may submit written comments to the following address, prior to the hearing, or attend and give testimony. A complete copy of Chapter 68 of title 26 of the Los Angeles County Code is on file with the City Clerk, and is available for public inspection commencing August 31, 2015, during normal business hours at the City Clerk's Office, City of Artesia, 18747 Clarkdale Avenue, Artesia, California 90701.
