Rm #3, 2425 Webster Ave, Long Beach, 90810 SUMMARY OF WORK: Remove and replace portions of existing chain link fence system and gates; remove and replace chain link fabric; remove and replace baseball barrier netting and privacy screens; paint existing posts; and other related work at Wilson High School per the bid specifications. NOTICE: Notice is hereby given that the Long Beach Unified School District acting by and through its Governing Board will receive sealed bids for the award of a contract for the above-named PROJECT prior to the bid deadline stated above. Bids shall be received in the place identified above, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place. Whether or not bids are opened exactly at the time fixed in this notice no bid will be received after the bid deadline. Any bids received after the time specified above or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened. The bid for this project includes one (1) additive alternate. Bid award will be made using the base bid and the one additive alternate. The District reserves the right after award is made to then choose if they will include the alternate in the contract. The District mandates that all contractors comply with Department of Industrial Relations general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality. BIDDER must post a bid bond executed by a surety admitted in the State of California as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, or other security in the amount of 10% of the amount of the bid with the bid. Separate payment and performance bonds executed by a surety admitted in the State of California as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the DISTRICT prior to execution of the contract. In accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code §22300, substitution of eligible and equivalent securities for any monies withheld to ensure performance under this contract would be permitted at the request and expense of the Contractor. BIDDER shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and be licensed in the following classification(s): B or C-13. The successful bidder must maintain the license throughout the duration of the contract. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding.
